Tasting note:
Star Bay Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc is sourced from selected vinerards in New Zealand’s famouse Marlborough region. The 2009 growing season was sunny and very dry. Ideal weather at flowering produced a bountiful Sauvignon Blanc harvest, which ripened early. Harvest was condensed and hectic, with vineyards reaching optimum flavour intensity more or less all at the same time.
Star Bay wines are produced by intentionally renown winemaker Alan McCorkindale. Meticulous vineyard management and innovative winemaking combine to produce a classic Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc, intensely aromatic and lively, bursting with flavours of passionfruit, melon, gooseberry and citrus. The palate is dry and vibrant with racy acid and typical varietal pungency. Enjoy chilled as an aperitif, or match with fresh seafood.
